TERROR FROM
EVERY SIDE
Pause. Enter into the stillness of God
within.
Reading: “I hear so many disparaging me, ‘Terror
from every side.’ Denounce him! Let us denounce him!” (Jeremiah 20:10-13)
Reflection. The mounting tension that will lead
to the Passion is foretold by the prophet’s own life and is seen in the
confrontation between Jesus and the Jews. We live this tension and terror today
in many places and we want to live it also in our own hearts with compassion as
we see the suffering of people.
Prayer. Lord, help us to live in
solidarity with our brothers and sisters in so many places living the Passion
today. Amen.
