YOUR KINGDOM
COME
Pause. Enter into the stillness of God
within.
Reading: “May your name be held holy, your
kingdom come.” (Matt 6:7-15)
Reflection. Adveniat! Let
it come! It is the name for the German Catholic organisation for assisting the development of South
America. And Advent is all about
expectancy.The Our Father looks
forward eagerly to the full breaking in of the reign of God in our own personal
life and in the politics, economics social and cultural life of nations. Jesus
announces the reign of God and it has grown and permeated the earth ever since
his coming. We rejoice in this and spy its arrival in countless events each day.
Prayer. Our Father in heaven, may your
name be held holy, your kingdom come, your will be done. Amen
