PRAYER PAUSE
Saturday 7 October 2017, Our
Lady of the Rosary
WITH
MARY, THE MOTHER OF JESUS
Pause. Enter into the stillness
of God within.
Reading: “All these joined in
continuous prayer, together with several women, including Mary, the mother of
Jesus, and with his brothers.” (Acts 1:12-14)
Reflection. The rosary has been a
support to generations of Catholics. In times of persecuton, when any public
act of worship was forbidden, they prayed the rosary in their homes with their
families. Its simple repetitive way carries you into the presence of the divine.
Mary is the mother of the Church and that means of each one. In the place where
she is she there are no limits to her ability to reach out to each one who
turns to her, as a child to their mother. She lived her vocation as “the
daughter of her Son” (Dante) in a way that draws us into a desire to be with
him in his mission to our world today.
Prayer. Hail Mary, full of grace,
pray for us, now and at the hour. Amen.
